CHRISTOPHER LEON GORDON

Christopher Leon Gordon, age 51, of Gordon, AL passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 in Rydal, GA. A reflection of life service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 PM EST at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Caleb Cunningham speaking. The family will receive friends and remember times spent with Chris at this service. Chris was born in Nashville, TN on Dec. 5, 1965 to Leon Gordon and Martha Ann Reasons Gordon. He served his country in the United States Navy and worked for Toyo Tires in the curing department. Chris loved SCA (a reenactment of medieval times), hunting and being out in nature. He was a standout football player during his high school years at John Overton High School in Tennessee. Chris and his family enjoyed time spent together taking care of remodeling projects. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Mechelle Gordon of Gordon, AL; his father, Leon Gordon of Clarksville, TN; a daughter, Coleen Gordon of Nashville, TN; two sons, Timothy Shirley and Sam and Tyler Shirley and Brittany both of Ashford, AL; and a sister, Patricia Kitchens of Nashville, TN. Mr. Gordon is also survived by a grandson, Robert Shirley, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gordon was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Ann Reasons Gordon.
