CAROLYN WILLIS

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Carolyn Virginia Hughes Willis, age 72, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Monday, August 24, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Willis will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with interment to follow in Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Elder W.H. Phillips will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, August 26, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Willis was born in Houston Co., AL on September 5, 1936 to the late Malvine and Annie Crooms Hughes. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Willis worked with Tom Faircloth at Cash Drug Store for over 20 years and had been working at Grow Drugs in Colquitt for the past 5-6 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 30 years, Aubrey E. Willis of Donalsonville, GA; a brother, Norman Hughes of Tallahassee, FL; eight grandchildren, Jason Mann and his wife Ann Marie, Amanda Mann McDowell and her husband Jerry, Kasey Smith, Brock Smith and his wife Ashley, Billy Smith and his wife Allie, Jackson Smith, Shelbie Smith, and Lee Smith; and three great grandchildren, Fuller and Hudson Vallandingham and Brock Smith, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Malvine and Annie Crooms Hughes, and two sons, Ronnie Smith and Kim Smith. Active casketbearers will be Ricky Bracewell, Brock Smith, Billy Smith, Jason Mann, Ronnie Shiver, and Thomas Earl Davis. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Lee Wayne Smith Education Fund c/o Aubrey Willis1419 Grady Cobb Road Donalsonville, GA 39845.
