We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Bertha Lee Morris Ingram, age 84, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Sunday, August 16, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Ingram will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Donna Bevels officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, August 17, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Ingram was born in Cottonwood, AL on March 20, 1925 to the late Hamp and Lily Sanders Morris. She graduated from Rehobeth High School and Riley Business College. Mrs. Ingram worked as a bookkeeper until she married and started a family, at which time she became a homemaker, devoting her energy to her husband and children as a homemaker. She was a member of the Donalsonville Church of Christ. She leaves to cherish her memory, 3 daughters, Jerome Allen of Bainbridge, GA, Lily I. Weaver and husband Dennis of Bainbridge, GA; and Nancy Ingram of Donalsonville, GA; one grandson, Brandon Weaver and wife Mandy of Bainbridge, GA; one great granddaughter, Ellagrace Weaver of Bainbridge, GA; two brothers, Raymond Morris and his wife Barbara of Dothan, AL and John Morris of Dothan, AL; and one sister, Gladys Womble of Madrid, AL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hamp and Lily Sanders Morris; her husband, Eugene Ingram; a daughter, Anna Jean Ingram; and two brothers, Lester Morris and Jack Morris. Active casketbearers will be William Bramlett, Howard Drury, Lewis Carter, Jr., Brad Clarke, Matt Darley, and Bubba Weeks. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
