Mary Maxine Dorsett McMillan, age 75, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday morning, Jan. 20, 2017 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mrs. McMillan will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Oakview Church of God with Rev. Johnny Taylor and Rev. Jimmy Walden officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon, January 22, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. McMillan was born in Clio, AL on November 6, 1941 to Dewey Dorsett and Vallie Medley Dorsett. She was a homemaker and a member of Oakview Church of God. Mrs. McMillan enjoyed fishing, spending time with her family and loving her dog, Chipper. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Bryan McMillan of Donalsonville, GA; her children, Georgia Jones and husband William, Brantley McMillan, Terry Phillips and wife Wanda, Rocky Phillips and wife Tammy, Latharo Phillips, Chad Phillips and wife Tiffany, and Raymond McMillan and wife Sally all of Donalsonville, GA; Glenn McMillan and wife Debbie, Lee McMillan, Diane McMillan, and Audrey Ingram and husband Murry all of Colquitt, GA; and Bruce McMillan and wife Leah of Valdosta, GA. She is also survived by her siblings, Catherine Kennedy and Sam Beasley, Mollie Phillips and Albert, Jeanette Kelley, Laura McMillan, and John Beavers; 39 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, as well as her beloved dog, Chipper. Mrs. McMillan was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Dorsett and Vallie Medley Dorsett Beasley; a sister, Eleanor Beasley; two sons, Randy Phillips and Tony Phillips; two daughters, Jeannie Hunt and Melissa McMillan; a grandson, Gregory L. Graves; and two great granddaughters, Khi’ Yonna Handsford and Kynzie Kelley.
