Wylene Ard Lane, age 80, of Albany, GA and formerly of Colquitt, GA passed away Monday morning, January 9, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Lane will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 3:00 PM at New Home Freewill Baptist Church in Colquitt, GA with Rev. Dan Story officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Steve Ard, Johnathon Tucker, Chris Bell, Isaac Albritton, Jr., Nicholas Lane, and Bryan Cloninger serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the church. Mrs. Lane was born in Donalsonville, GA on March 1, 1936 to Isaac Matthew Ard and Allie Lee Roberts Ard. She was a retired bus driver for the Worth County School System and a member of New Home Freewill Baptist Church and had attended Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending Women Mission Studies with the ladies of the church, baking, and gardening. Mrs. Lane loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She served as a foster parent for 15 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Cheryl Hughes (David) of Cumming, GA and Lisa Bartley (Lonnie) of Sylvester, GA; her sons, Isaac Albritton (Cindy) of Sylvester, GA and Matt Lane (Martina) of Oakfield, GA; and her step-sons, Jimmy Lane (Rose) of Nashville, GA, Gerald Lane (Beth) of Donalsonville, GA, Keith Lane (Penny) of Iron City, GA, and Clay Lane (Sheila) of TyTy, GA. Mrs. Lane is also survived by a sister, Jeanette Cox of Colquitt, GA and a brother, Larry Ard of Iron City, GA; 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Matthew Ard and Allie Lee Roberts Ard; her husband, James Lester Lane; two sisters, Geneva Ard Cox and Clyde Ard Cox; a grandchild, Lane Albritton, and a step-son, Carroll Lane.
