David Johnson, age 66, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday evening, Nov. 21, 2016 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Spring Creek Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Brian Hatchett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Randall Earnest, Cameron Glass, Jordan Newberry, Jackson Newberry, Tony Johnson, and Larry Blackburn serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church at 2:00 PM. Mr. Johnson was born July 1, 1950 and was the son of J.C. Earnest and Ruth Jeanette Johnson. He worked for many years as a parts manager for NAPA Auto Parts and was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson loved hunting and fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was especially fond of his dogs. He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, J.C. Earnest and stepmother, Audrey of Donalsonville, GA; his brother, Randy Earnest and wife Jill of Donalsonville, GA; and his sisters, Lisa Newberry and husband Jack of Iron City, GA and Vicki Mercer and husband Bill of Roanoke, AL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Randall Earnest, Erica Broome, Cameron Glass, Jordan Newberry, Jackson Newberry, Caden Mercer, Corey Mercer, and Courtney Parker, as well as great nieces and great nephews, Kaelin Gilliland, Blake Earnest, and Konner Broome. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Jeanette Johnson Earnest and his brother, Ricky Earnest.
