Mrs. Barbara McCormick Croom, age 79, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Thursday morning, October 27, 2016 at her daughters residence in Columbia, AL. Graveside services for Mrs. Croom will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:30 AM in Hebrew Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Andy Merritt officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning, October 29, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Croom was born in Miami, FL to Alvin Leon McCormick and Marian Pope McCormick on October 6, 1937. She worked as a store clerk for Williams Chevron in Donalsonville, GA. She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Kenneth Lloyd Croom and his wife Liz; two daughters, Michelle Brunson and her husband David and Sherry Chambers and her husband Wayne Chambers,Sr.; seven grandchildren, Phillip Croom, Dane Brimlow, Travis Brimlow, Caitlynn Brunson, Tyler Daniels, Donna Chambers, and Wayne Chambers, Jr.; and seven great grandchildren, Ashley Ingram, Ashton Chambers, Colton Chambers, Hunter Chambers, Katelynn Chambers, Greyson Chambers, and Sunni Ray Chamber; she is also survived by her nephew, Leon McCormick and his wife Joanna and their children, Katie and Courtney. Mrs. Croom was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Leon McCormick and Marian Pope McCormick; her husband, Leslie Croom; and her siblings, Alvin McCormick, Martha McCormick and Carol Pearson..
