We REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF MR. BOBBY NICHOLS, AGE 77, OF DONALSONVILLE, GA WHO PASSED AWAY MONDAY AFTERNOON, JULY 6, 2009 AT DONALSONVILLE HOSPITAL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Smith and Rev. Curtis Earnest officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. . Mr Nichols was born in Donalsonville, GA on December 6, 1931 to the late Arthur Morris “Pete” and Mallie Wilson Nichols. He graduated school at FDR in 1948 and was a graduate of the University of Georgia. He served his country in the United States Army as a medic during the Korean conflict. Mr. Nichols was a member of Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church and retired from the office of Clerk of Superior Court of Seminole County in 1988. He enjoyed quail hunting and working with his bird dogs. He leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Gary Nichols and his wife Belinda of Donalsonville; a special friend, Zelda Shirah of Bainbridge, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Morris "Pete" Nichols and Mallie Wilson Nichols; his wife, June Faircloth Nichols; one brother, Tarvin Nichols; and two sisters, Emma Lee Byrd and Virginia Davis. Active casketbearers will be Stephen Nichols, Ryan Nichols, Jonathan Nichols, Christopher Nichols, Larry Grant, and Junior Barber. Honorary casketbearers will be his graduating class of 1948 at FDR School. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
