THOMAS JOE SHEREN

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Thomas Joe Sheren, age 76, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Nolan Hospital inside the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mr. Sheren will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2009, at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with interment to follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home chapel. Mr. Sheren was born in Vincennes, IN on August 10, 1932 to the late Murrel and Thelma Like Sheren. Mr. Sheren served his country in the United States Army. He was a cattle rancher and dozier operator. Mr. Sheren was a member of Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mabel Cook Sheren of Donalsonville, GA; two daughters, Debbie Anderson and her husband Jim of Donalsonville, GA and Darlene Allen and her husband Greg of Mt. Dora, FL; three grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murrel and Thelma Like Sheren. Active casketbearers will be Jim Anderson, Shaun Anderson, Jim Prine, Dale Kramer, Clayton Pitts and Charlie Anderson. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
