John Watson Robinson, age 71, of Albany, GA and formerly of Donalsonville, GA passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 28, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Robinson will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Matthew Robinson, Hayden Haire, John Robinson, Jr., Aaron Sheffield, Ed Kirkland, and Blake Robinson serving as active casketbearers. Honorary casketbearers will be Lavon Tice, Larry Robinson, and Josh Robinson. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, July 1, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Robinson was born in Donalsonville, GA on December 13, 1944 to Raymond Paul Robinson and Juanita Poston Robinson. He retired from the Seminole County Road Department where he had worked for many years as the Road Superintendent. Mr. Robinson enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Salem Masonic Lodge #83 and Salem-Seminole Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, John Anthony Robinson of Donalsonville, GA, Dale Robinson of Albany, GA, Wendell Robinson and his wife Amy of Albany, GA, and Michael Robinson and his wife Marsha of Albany, GA; and his brothers and sisters, Raymond Kelly Robinson and his wife Martha of Donalsonville, GA, Pauline Kirkland Tice and Sammy of Donalsonville, GA, Rebecca Ard and Earl Johnson of Dothan, AL, Ilene Williams and Joe of Colquitt, GA, Debra Love and Danny of Cedar Springs, GA, Sonny Robinson of Donalsonville, GA, Larry Robinson and Vickie of Albany, GA, Keith Robinson and Kristie of Albany, GA, Toby Robinson and Gail of Donalsonville, GA, and Regina Martin and Bill of Sneads, FL. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, Anthony Robinson, Jr., Jessica Robinson, Mona Ramsey, Craig Robinson, Haley Robinson, Aaron Sheffield, Blake Robinson, Alexis Robinson, Megan Bush, A.J. Bush, Brantley Robinson, Mary Brumbley, Matthew Robinson, Hayden Haire, Joshua Haire, Katelyn Robinson, Allie Robinson, and Michael Robinson, Jr.; as well as 7 great grandchildren. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Paul Robinson and Juanita Poston Robinson; his wife, Virginia Robinson; and three brothers, Jerry Robinson, Jake Robinson, and Durwood Robinson.
