We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Shirley Goodman Reeves, age 73, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 at Donalsonville Hospital ER. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Bell and Rev. Charles Barineau officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Reeves was born in Louisville, KY on October 8, 1935 to the late Earnest and Eva Goodman. She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church in Arlington, GA. She is survived by four daughters; Karren and Heath Elliot of Donalsonville, GA; Kristal and Ray Weaver of Arlington, GA; Wendy Bates of Des Moines, IA; Gail Mundy of VA;. six sons, Curtis and Trudy Lambert of Albany, GA; Lee and Denise Lambert of Donalsonville, GA; Dale and Frances Reeves of Waycross, GA; Robert and Becky Reeves of MS; Wayne Reeves of Blackshear, GA and Manuel Tibbets of VA. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Earnest and Eva Goodman, her husband Curtis Crawford Lambert; three brothers and six sisters. Active casketbearers will be Steve Baker, Curtis Lambert, III, Wayne Harden, Allen Powell, Charles Clemon, Jr. and Anthony Bjorklin. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
