MYRTICE IRENE KELLY TYLER

Myrtice Irene Kelly Tyler, age 91, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Sunday evening, May 22, 2016 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Tyler will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the First Church of the Nazarene in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Scott Messer officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA with Adam Tyler, Daniel Scott, Jamie Smith, Justin Stroud, Heath Banks, and Joshua Brown serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, May 26, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Tyler was born in Dale County, AL on December 29, 1924 to George Harvey Kelly and Evie Lee Lewis Kelly. She attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Donalsonville and was a homemaker. Mrs. Tyler loved gardening and fishing and had made numerous blankets for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and loved playing the guitar. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Patricia Stroud and husband Richard of Donalsonville, GA, Larry Tyler and wife Delores of Donalsonville, GA, Sue Scott and husband Jack of Cairo, GA, and Janice Mackanick and husband Albert of Okeechobee, FL; three sisters, Juanita Hagler of Donalsonville, GA, Hazel Whitaker of Enterprise, AL, and Betty Arnold and husband Jack of North Carolina; a brother, Lamar Kelly of Belle Glade, FL; and a brother-in-law, Hank Tyler of Iron City, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ramona Brown, Britta Craver, Justin Stroud, Lori Banks, Adam Tyler, Daniel Scott, Rebecca Maynor, Jamie Smith, and Christy Bradley; 22 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Tyler was preceded in death by her parents, George Harvey Kelly and Evie Lee Lewis Kelly; her husband, Price Tyler; one sister, Jewel Wheeler; three brothers, J.W. Kelly, Don Kelly, and Bobby Kelly; a grandson, Russell Stroud; and a great grandson, Clayton Tyler.
