Mary Lucille Montgomery

Mary Lucille Fowler Montgomery, age 70, of Jakin, GA passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Montgomery will be held on, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Jakin Free Will Baptist Church in Jakin, GA with Rev. Wayne Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Michael Montgomery, Matthew Montgomery, Ryan Blankenship, Andrew Blankenship, Jerry Stokes, and Otis Whittaker serving as active pallbearers and Daniel Ellis, Jacob Ellis, Lil’ Mike Montgomery and Eric Montgomery serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the church. Mrs. Montgomery was born in Eufaula, AL on October 14, 1945 to Gooly Alvin Fowler and Artie Lou Alan Fowler. She was a homemaker and a member of Jakin Free Will Baptist Church She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Fredrick Montgomery III and his wife Erin of Colorado, Mary Blankenship and her husband Ryan of Prattville, AL, Becky Lawson of Iron City, GA, Michael Daniel Montgomery and his wife Andrea of Jakin, GA, Matthew Preston Montgomery of Jakin, GA, David Lucas Montgomery of Donalsonville, GA, Tiffany Michelle Montgomery of Donalsonville, GA; her sisters, Velma Kelly of Ariton, AL, Joyce Becker of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Dottie Green of Ariton, AL; and her brother, John Wayne Fowler of Ozark, AL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Fred Montgomery, IV (Mara), Daniel Ellis, Michelle Blankenship, Jacob Ellis, Andrew Blankenship, Lil’ Mike Montgomery, Eric Montgomery, Kristen Montgomery, Lucas Montgomery, A.J. Montgomery, Devon Montgomery, Aiden Glass and Lincoln Glass; and her great grandchildren, Bethany Montgomery, Lil’ Fred Montgomery, V, and Blaise Montgomery.. Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her parents, Gooly Alvin Fowler and Artie Lou Alan Fowler; her husband, Fredrick Howard Montgomery, Jr.; and a daughter, Elizabeth Montgomery..
