Paul Adams, Sr., age 88, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday evening, Feb. 1, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be held on Thursday morning, Feb. 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Boomer and Rev. Scott Messer officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Brandon Hornsby, Scott Adams, Sam Adams, Lee Adams, Richard Adams, and Josh Adams serving as active casketbearers. Honorary casketbearers will be members of American Legion Post 157 of Donalsonville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, Feb. 3, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Adams was born in Douglas, GA on Feb. 28, 1927 to Riley Adams and Elizabeth Nipper Adams. He served his country in the United States Army and worked for many years as a mechanic at Georgia Pacific before his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post 157 of Donalsonville and attended the First Church of the Nazarene. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Jacqueline Adams of Donalsonville, GA; his children, John R. Adams and his wife Gloria of Donalsonville, GA, Ricky Adams and his wife Isabelle of Bainbridge, GA, Paul Adams, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Bainbridge, GA, Rusty Adams and his wife Kitty of Donalsonville, GA, Babs Karacic of Donalsonville, GA, Mike Adams and his wife Sophie of Donalsonville, GA, and Jackie McLendon and her husband Danny of Iron City, GA; two brothers, Eugene Adams and his wife Chu of Warner Robins, GA and Jerry Lee Adams and his wife Shari of Oronogo, Missouri; and a sister, Marie Boulle of Webster, FL. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, Riley Adams and Elizabeth Nipper Adams; two sons, Eddy Adams and Terry Adams; two daughters, Paula Adams and Julie Adams; a son-in-law, Greg Karacic; and numerous brothers and sisters.
