LUCINDIA LOVE CHANCEY

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Lucindia L. Chancey, age 75, of Jakin, GA who passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Odom officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, April 17, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville Mrs. Chancey was born in Jakin, GA on February 6, 1934 to the late Dave and Annie Mae Love. She was an active member of Springfield Baptist Church, was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Jonah Lloyd Chancey in 1996. She is survived by one son, Keith Chancey and his wife Tammy of Kershaw, S.C.; three daughters, Joann Cook and her husband Raymond of Albany, GA; Wanda McLendon and her husband Michael of Jakin, GA; Kim Glass and her husband Steve of Jakin, GA; one brother, Lester Love of Columbus, GA; one sister, Naomi McDonald of Dothan, AL and one sister-in-law, Myrtle Chancey Grimsley of North Augusta, S.C. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Dave and Annie Mae Love; her husband, Jonah Lloyd Chancey; two sons, Larry and Ricky Chancey. . Active casketbearers will be Steve Dunning, Jackie Frith, Tommy Tyler, Nelson Vickery, Ronald Bruner and Vinson Evans. Flowers accepted or memorial contributions may be made to help cover funeral expenses. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
