BOBBY JOE ROATEN

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Bobby Joe Roaten, age 65, of Iron City, GA who passed away at his residence on Sunday, April 12, 2009. Funeral services for Mr. Roaten will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at 11:00 AM at New Hope Worship Assembly in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Charles Barineau officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery in Iron City, Ga. Visitation will be held Monday, April 13, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Roaten was born in Dell Arkansas on October 15, 1943 to the late John and Gillie Ann Arnold Raoten. He was employed by Donalsonville Motor Co. and a member of the Seminole Group of AA. He is survived by two sons, Steve Roaten and his wife Dori of Ruskin, FL and Joseph Roaten and his wife Carol of Dawson, GA; one daughter, Kim Chance and her husband Cotton of Iron City, GA and one brother, Charles Roaten of Ruskin, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Carl Roaten, Melvin Roaten, Cleo Benefeld and John Roaten. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
