Mildred Ritchie

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Mildred Smith Ritchie, age 83, of Iron City, GA who passed away Monday, April 6, 2009 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Ritchie will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 4:30 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Eric Boomer officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, April 8, 2009 from 6:00-7:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Ritchie was born in Schuylkill Haven, PA on June 15, 1925 to the late Joseph and Bessie Koch Smith. She was a member of Iron City United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Miller and her husband L.J. of Brinson, GA, Carolyn Clancey and her husband Kevin of Athens, GA, Connie Barber and her husband Billy of Iron City, GA, and Sharon Phillips and her husband Bruce of Donalsonville, GA; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Bessie Koch Smith and her husband, John Ritchie. Active casketbearers will be Kevin Gohman, Peter Buch, Johnnie Temples, James McCraw, Richard Clayton, and Phillip Pack.
