We regret to announce the passing of Ms. Belinda Kay Lane, age 39, of Donalsonville, who passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Mother's Home Free Will Baptist Church in Colquitt, GA with Rev. Talmadge Worsley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, April 6, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Ms. Lane was born in Colquitt, GA on July 22, 1969 to Susan Strickland Lane and David Lane. She graduated from Miller County High School in 1987 and then attended Riley College where she received her CNA degree. Kay truly loved her family and the center of her world was her son Tyler. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Susan (Sue) Lane of Donalsonville,GA; her father,David Lane and his wife Glenda of Tifton, GA; a son, Tyler Vieira of Donalsonville, GA; one sister, Sheila Middleton of Donalsonville, GA; and two brothers, Alan Lane and Charles Brantley Lane both of Donalsonville, GA. She is also survived by five uncles, Edward Strickland and his wife Sherri and John Strickland and his wife Diane both of Bainbridge, GA, Robert Strickland and his wife Lyn and Charles Lane and his wife Irelle both of Colquitt, GA, and, Donnell Lane of Geneva, AL; and three aunts, Darline West and her husband Leonard of Albany, GA, Betty Jane Johnson of Bainbridge, GA, and Linda Rice and her husband Dewayne of Adel, GA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Betty Louise Strickland and Lloyd and Myrtle Lane; a brother, Dwayne Culver; and a sister-in-law, Angela Lane.. Active casketbearers will be Nick Chapman, Jeffrey Roland, Timothy Clinton, Brandon Mathis, Zack Langley, and Ma'kel Price. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
