JERRY ALBRITTON ROBINSON

Jerry Albritton Robinson, age 73, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Sunday evening, October 25, 2015 at his residence. Graveside services for Mr. Robinson will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Tallahassee National Cemetery in Tallahassee, FL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, October 28, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Jerry was born July 5, 1942 in Donalsonville, GA to Jaunita Poston Robinson and the late Paul Robinson. Jerry grew up and worked on his father's farm near Desser Landing. He also worked on the Ned Alday farm, Gibson Road Construction, and Patton Frame and Alignment before joining the U.S. Army in 1964. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He served as a fixed wing aircraft mechanic and tachometer inspector with the 223rd Combat Support Aviation Battalion from 1967-1969 in Qui Nhon and Plaiku, South Vietnam. He was actively involved in the Tet counter offensive in 1968. Upon returning home, he worked the family farm and raised his children. He enjoyed raising farm animals, working in his garden, and helping anyone in need. His love of life and nature can be seen in his assortment of fruit trees and bushes at his home and in his garden. Survivors include his wife Patricia Joan Linzy-Robinson; his mother, Juanita Poston Robinson; his children, Mark Robinson and wife Deborah, Jerry Robinson, Jr., James Robinson, and Joseph Robinson and his wife Joanie; his brothers and sisters, Kelly Robinson and his wife Martha, John Robinson, Pauline Tice and her husband Sammy Joe, Rebecca Ard and Earl Johnson, Ilene Williams and her husband Joe, Debra Love and her husband Danny, Sonny Robinson, Larry Robinson and his wife Vicki, Keith Robinson, Toby Robinson and his wife Gail, Regina Martin and her husband Bill; his grandchildren, Micah Robinson, Sara Garrett, Jeremy Robinson, Jillian Robinson, Ian Robinson, Brandon Robinson, Jacob Robinson, Amber Robinson; his great grandchildren Maliyah Garrett, Tate Griffin, and Weston Griffin; and his caregiver, Angel Crum. He was preceded in death by his father Paul Robinson and his two brothers Daryl Scott "Jake" Robinson and Lamont Edward Robinson.
