We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Linda Faye Worthington Gray, age 72, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday evening, October 16, 2015 at the Donalsonville Hospital ER. Funeral services for Mrs. Gray will be held on Monday morning, October 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Donalsonville with Dr. Ron McCaskill officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon, October 18, 2015 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund or Youth Department PO Box 305 Donalsonville, GA 39845 or to the American Lung Association 55 W. Wacker Drive Suite 1150 Chicago, IL 60601. Mrs. Gray was born in Donalsonville, GA on January 19, 1943 to Mack Worthington and Ruth Waddell Worthington North. Her father passed away while she was still a young child, so her step-father, Spurgeon North was like her real dad. She graduated from Seminole County High School in 1961 and worked as the city clerk for the City of Donalsonville for 44 years before her retirement. She was a member of Donalsonville First Baptist Church where she attended the Friends Sunday School class. Before becoming a member at First Baptist, Mrs. Gray spent most of her life as an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Donalsonville and still held a deep love for that church. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Espy Gray of Donalsonville, GA; three sons, Tracy Horne and his wife Natalie of Iron City, GA, John Gray and his wife Sherry of Iron City, GA, and Tom Gray and his wife Jeannean of Hartselle, AL; two step-brothers, Charles (Buddy) North and his wife Frances of Donalsonville, GA and Mike North and his wife Betty of Iron City, GA; and a step-sister, Elaine Cross of Donalsonville, GA. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Kyle Horne, Cale Cloud, Ashlee Landrum and her husband Walt, Bethany Gray, and Alicia, Christopher, Mary Elizabeth, and Benjamin Gray; as well as two great-grandchildren, Ashtyn and Parker Landrum. Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her parents, Mack Worthington and Ruth Waddell Worthington North; her step-father, Spurgeon North; and a step-brother, James North.
