LUCILLE CROSS BODIFORD

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Lucille Cross Bodiford, age 77, of Albany, GA and formerly of the Donalsonville and Colquitt areas, who passed away Thursday evening, October 1, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Bodiford will be held on Sunday afternoon, October 4, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Jimmy Whittaker officiating. Interment will follow in New Home Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Miller County. Visitation will be held on Saturday evening, October 3, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Bodiford was born in Donalsonville, GA on April 16, 1938 to Leavy Coleman Cross and Esther Gilbert Cross. She was a nursing assistant and a member of the Miller County Church of God. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Deborah Hogg and her husband David of Warner Robins, GA, Priscilla Dianne Martin of Putney, GA, Rhonda Kaye Bryant and her husband David of Albany, GA; and Melissa Joan Merritt and her husband Judson of Sylvester, GA; her sons, Thomas Coleman Bodiford and his wife Barbara of Box Springs, GA and Grady Leroy Bodiford of Albany, GA; a brother, Eager Lee Cross of Colquitt, GA; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren. Mrs. Bodiford was preceded in death by her parents, Leavy Coleman Cross and Esther Gilbert Cross; her husband, John Thomas Bodiford, Jr.; a son, Richard Edward Bodiford; six brothers, Arthur Lee Cross, Roy Bishop Cross, Leavy Earl Cross, John Coleman Cross, Leo Cross, Levi Cross; and a sister, Louise Cross Polk.
