We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Lola W. Braswell, age 79, of Albany and formerly of Donalsonville, who passed away Thursday, March 2, 2006 at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 3:00 PM at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Suggs officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, March 3, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Braswell was born in Seminole County on Jan. 7, 1927, to the late Charlie Archie and Minnie Mae Faircloth Whittaker. She was a homemaker and a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Albany. Mrs. Braswell leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Garland Braswell and his wife Bonnie of Albany, GA; a daughter, Dorothy B. Giddens and her husband Donald of Leesburg, GA; two sister-in-laws, Eunice Cliett Braswell and Betty Benton Whittaker, both of Donalsonville, GA. 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Archie and Minnie Mae Faircloth Whittaker, her husband, General Braswell, one daughter, Linda Carol Braswell Kohler, and two brothers, Lawrence Whittaker and Curtis Whittaker. Pallbearers will be Richard Jackson, Ricky Jackson, Jimmy Miller, Chris Braswell, John Braswell and Donnie Giddens. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home of Donalsonville, GA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
