Emory Ray Jeter, age 84, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday evening, September 7, 2015 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mr. Jeter will be held on Saturday afternoon, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Wes Baldwin and Rev. Charles Hewitt officiating. Interment will follow in Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery with Keith Robinson, Larry Robinson, William Martin, Kelly Robinson, Buddy Perkins, and Joseph McDowell serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Jeter was born in Grand Ridge, FL on March 24, 1931 to Seabern Jeter and Alice Crawford Jeter. He was a contractor and served his country in the United States Army. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jaunita Poston Robinson Jeter of Donalsonville, GA; a daughter, Regina Martin and her husband Bill of Sneads, FL; a son-in-law, Frank Bell and his wife Jeanie of Albany, GA; 4 step-daughters, Pauline Tice and her husband Sammy Joe of Donalsonville, GA, Rebecca Johnson and her husband Earl of Blakely, GA, Debra Love and her husband Danny of Blakely, GA, and Ilene Williams and her husband Joe of Colquitt, GA; seven step-sons, John Robinson of Donalsonville, GA, Kelly Robinson and his wife Martha of Donalsonville, GA, Jerry Robinson and his wife Joan of Donalsonville, GA, Keith Robinson of Donalsonville, GA, Larry Robinson and his wife Vickie of Albany, GA, Toby Robinson and his wife Gail of Donalsonville, GA, and Sonny Robinson of Donalsonville, GA; a grandson, Zachary Ziemer of California, as well as numerous other stepgrandchildren; a loving niece, Virginia Perkins of Grand Ridge, FL and a nephew, Eddie Ray Cook and his wife Thelma of Sneads, FL. Mr. Jeter was preceded in death by his parents, Seabern Jeter and Alice Crawford Jeter; two step-sons, Jake Robinson and Durwood Robinson; two sisters, Violet Smith and Vicy Bryant; and three brothers, Clarence Jeter, Roy Jeter, and Vernon Jeter.
