We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Wilford Alford Tyler, age 79, of Donalsonville, who passed away Friday, February 13, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on February 15, 2009 in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Kirk Loyless officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery in Iron City, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Tyler was born in Seminole County on October 6, 1929 to the late Pete Howard and Nita Williams Tyler. He served his country in the US Air Force, was a prominent farmer in Seminole County, was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and also a member of the American Legion Post in Miller County. He is survived by his wife of many years Fay Tyler of Donalsonville, GA; two sons, Howard Tyler and his wife Becky of Acworth, GA and Raleigh Tyler and his wife Sacara of Avon Park, FL. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Kyndal Tyler, Kelsey Tyler, RhettTyler, Logan Tyler, Cooper Tyler and Carlyn Tyler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete Howard and Nita Williams Tyler and a granddaughter, Beth Tyler. Casketbearers will be Buren Mock, Jr., Carroll Miller, Jamie Williams, Larry Tyler, Jerry Coble and Wilton Albritton. Honorary casketbearers will be Todd Massey, Hank Tyler, Vann Hornsby, Fred Brackin, Ed Barber, Veachel Williams, Harold Williams, Bruce Phillips, Glenn Whittaker, Joseph E. "Tuddy" Alday, Raymond Schultz and Chuck Crews. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
