Douglas Austin Johnson, age 66, of Donalsonville, Georgia, passed away Thursday evening, August 6, 2015, at Donalsonville Hospital ER. Most people knew him as Paw Paw; others knew him as Uncle Doug; others knew him as a real good friend. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015, at 2:00 PM at New Hope Worship Assembly with Rev. Tony Buczek officiating. Visitation will precede this service at 1:00 PM at the church. Doug was born in Albany, Georgia, on October 17, 1948, to Douglas Johnson and Hazel Collins Johnson. He was a member of New Hope Worship Assembly and of the Restless Riders of Marianna, Florida. He was the owner/operator of a trucking business for many years, as well as an avid horseman. Doug leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Brenda Bush Johnson; a daughter Regina Johnson O'Brian and her husband Scott; his son Tony Johnson and his wife Tammy, his son Thomas Allen Johnson and his wife Stephanie; and his son Toby and his wife Alicia. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Hunter, Carson, Paislie, Miranda, Cameron, Ally, Gracie, Blake, and Caleb Temples, as well as a very large family. An important part of each day was the meal he shared with his grandchildren at Three Squares, "the breakfast room" they called it. He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother Don, and a son Steven.
