We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Emma Mae Miller, age 72, of Iron City, GA who passed away Tuesday, Febraury 3, 2009 at the Miller County Nursing Home in Colquitt, GA. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Ellis Hardwick and Rev. Justin Young officiating. Interment will follow at New Enterprise Freewill Baptist Church in Iron City, GA. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Miller was born in Decatur County, GA on December 13, 1936 to the late Robert Monroe and Dorothy Dodson Dyches. She worked in retail and was a homemaker and also a member of Iron City Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Sherman Miller of Iron City, GA; two sons, Mike Miller and his wife Carolyn of Brinson, GA and Ricky Miller of Iron City, GA; two daughters, Renee White of Albany, GA; Sandra Kay Scott and her husband Terrille of Iron City, GA; one brother, Robert Dyches and his wife Virginia of Huntington Beach, CA; two sisters, Mary Weathersby of Bainbridge, GA and Myrtice Cofty of Colquitt, GA. She is also survived by five grandchildren Michael Shay Miller, B. J. Collins, Todd Collins, Christopher White and David Miller and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Monroe and Dorothy Dodson Dyches. Casketbearers will be Mike Miller, Jimmy Miller, Shay Miller, David Miller, Randy Weathersby and Mark Griffin. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
