PATRICIA KAYE WILLIAMS PARKER

November 6, 1939 — January 29, 2009

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Patricia Kaye Williams Parker, age 69, of Dothan, AL who passed away Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Long Term Care at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL The first visitation will be held at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA located at 909 South Tennille Ave from 7:00-9:00 PM (EST) on Sunday, February 1, 2009. A second visitation beginning at 9:00 AM will be held at Southside Baptist Church 423 East Cottonwood Road Dothan, AL on Monday, February 2, 2009 two hours prior to the funeral service which begins at 11:00 AM (CST). A burial service at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA will follow the service at 2:30 PM (EST). A registered nurse by profession, Mrs. Parker retired from service at Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) in 2000. Mrs. Parker was a native of Seminole County, GA and obtained her formal education at Georgia Baptist School of Nursing in Atlanta, as well as from The Medical College of Georgia In Augusta. Mrs. Parker is survived by husband Willie B. Parker of Dothan, AL, two sons and two daughters-in-law: Warren B. and Brenda Parker of Hoover, AL and William D. and Ann Parker (grandson Drew) of Keller, TX, sister, Carol Callahan of Meansville, GA, niece, Wendy Willoughby (husband Kyle) of Senoia, GA, nephew, Corey Callahan (wife Christian), two great nieces and three great nephews, aunt Evelyn Newberry of Colquitt, GA, cousins, Tommy Newberry (wife Cheryl) and Chuck Newberry (wife Karen) also of Colquitt, GA. Holding a fervant faith in Christ Jesus, Mrs. Parker was an active member of Dothan's Southside Baptist Church and served as a leader in its prayer ministry. Mrs. Parker was predeceased by her parents Frank and Audrey William formerly of Donalsonville, Georgia. The family wishes to thank all her healthcare providers at SAMC and the Long-Term Hospital at SAMC for their superior level of medical care and professionalism. Additional appreciation is earnestly expressed to Dr. Walter Doty, Dr. Mark Shorter, Dr. Thomas Brown, Dr. Williams Mclaughlin, Dr. D. F. Jackson and family friend Lamerle Kite. Casketbearers will be Lamar Glover, Randy Shaw, Roger Kelley, James Brown, Mark Shorter and Joe Todd. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Missions Fund of Southside Baptist Church, 423 East Cottonwood Road, Dothan, Alabama 36303. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
