We regret to announce the passing of Mr. John G. "Jerry" Dunlap of Colquitt, GA who passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 at his residence. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Dr. Ron McCaskill officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Evans-Skipper. You may share your thoughts with the family by visiting our website at www.evansskipperfh.com. Mr. Dunlap was born in Daytona, FL on May 28, 1941 to Mary Elizabeth Sculley Dunlap and the late Charles Earnest Dunlap. He served his country in the US Army; was a retired minister, businessman, and a farmer. He served as a missionary to Israel for 4 years; was a caregiver for Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Smith for 18 years and was a member of The Word Say Ministry. He is survived by his wife, Toni Dunlap of Colquitt, GA; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Sculley Dunlap of Ocholoknee, GA; two daughters, Jackie D. Broome and her husband Brantley of Donalsonville, GA and Wendy D. Stone of Tallahassee, FL; two brothers, Joel Dunlap of Athens, GA and Jimmy Dunlap and his wife Leigh of Ochlocknee, GA; one sister, Dixie Westerland and her husband Don of Victoria, VA. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Annette Broome, Dylan Broome and Garrett Elmore. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Earnest Dunlap. Memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, 432 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39817. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
