DAVID MCLENDON

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. David Alan McLendon, Sr., age 55, of Donalsonville, GA. Mr. McLendon passed away Thursday afternoon, June 4, 2015 at Donalsonville Hospital ER. Funeral services for Mr. McLendon will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Miller County, GA with Michael McLendon, James McLendon, Bobby Hoskins, Joey Norton, Troy Williams, and Kenny Bush serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. McLendon was born in Tampa, FL on August 17, 1959 to Robert Allen McLendon and Erline Deckard McLendon. He worked as a supervisor at LMC and was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. McLendon loved to hunt and fish and especially enjoyed working with his cows. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Darlene Harlow McLendon of Donalsonville, GA; his parents, Robert Allen McLendon and Erline McLendon of Ducktown, TN; two sons, David McLendon, Jr. and William McLendon both of Donalsonville, GA; three brothers, Rusty McLendon and his wife Debra of Iron City, GA, Robert McLendon and his wife Lori and Michael McLendon and his wife Wanda both of Jakin, GA; and a sister, Betty McLendon of Ducktown, TN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as several aunts and uncles. Mr. McLendon was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph McLendon.
