We regret to announce the passing of Janie Lavada Baker Faircloth, age 94, of Bainbridge, GA and formerly of Donalsonville, who passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Faircloth will be held on Friday, January 16, 2009, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Ralph McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2009, in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Faircloth was born on November 29, 1914 in Seminole County, GA to the late William Bill and Rennie Mae Miller Baker. She was married to William Robert Faircloth, who preceded her in death, and worked as a nursing assistant. She is survived by one son, Edward C. Faircloth of Fort Worth, TX; six grandchildren;Margaret Dunlap of Jakin, GA, Mary Ritter of Coolidge, Ga; Paul Faircloth of Dothan, AL, Cathy Dukes of Witchita Falls, TX, Bill Faircloth of Midland, TX, and Billy Lynn Hayes of Hobbs, New Mexico; four great grandchildren, Carey Carter, Dennis Carter, Joseph Ritter, and Deana Tomlin; and nine great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Faircloth was preceded in death by her parents, William Bill Baker and Rennie Mae Miller Baker; her husband, William Robert Faircloth; two sons, William Eldridge Faircloth and Kenneth Faircloth; a daughter, Margaret Faircloth; two grandchildren, Robert Faircloth and Teresa Faircloth; five brothers, Frank Baker, Farley Baker, Bojan Baker, Lawson Baker, and Holley Baker: and one sister, Rosada Helms. Active pallbearers will be Carey Carter, Dennis Carter, Paul Faircloth, Mason Carter, Bill Barineau, and Joseph Rittter.
