JAMES CLIFTON THOMPSON

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. James Clifton Thompson, age 71, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday evening, January 9, 2009 at his residence. A memorial service and entombment for Mr. Thompson will be held at the Garden of Memories in Tampa, FL at a later date. Mr. Thompson was born on July 10, 1937 In Logan County, West Virginia to the late William Clifton and Edith Dillow Thompson. He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed fishing, football and NASCAR. He is survived by two sons, James Clifton Thompson, Jr and his wife Glenna and Joe Wright and his wife Peggy and one daughter, Debbie Gunter. Five grandchildren, Madison Thompson, Danny Wright, Megan Wright, Eric Gunter and Jackie Gunter also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lea Mae Frazier Thompson. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
