RUBY DRAKE PACE

We regret to announce the passing of Ruby Drake Pace, age 99, of Donalsonville and formerly of Jacksonville, FL who passed away Monday, February 13, 2006 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Luther Hastey officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 PM before the service at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. You may share your thoughts with the family by visiting our website at www.evansskipperfh.com. Mrs. Pace was born in Iron City, GA on May 13, 1906 to the late Taylor and Trudy Barber Drake. She was married to Julius K. Pace who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of GSCW, Milledgeville, and for several years was a teacher in the Seminole County Schools and Macon City Schools. Mrs. Pace was formerly employed as office clerk for Eelbeck Milling Company in Jacksonville, FL before moving to Donalsonville, GA in 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Ruth Sunday School Class. She leaves to cherish her memory numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Henry Drake, Fred Orr Drake, Sr., Joe Drake and Ty Cobb Drake; seven sisters, Lena Drake Pace, Alma Drake Whigham, Nita Drake Brock, Eva Drake Sawyer, Pat Drake Yarbrough, Una Drake McLemore and Mary Drake Tabb.
