A.J. PALMER

A.J. Palmer, age 91, of Tallahassee, FL, and formerly of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Friday morning, March 20, 2015 in Tallahassee. Funeral services for Mr. Palmer will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Charles Dennis officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Alan Palmer, Wayne Palmer, Larry Hammitt, Jimmy Hammitt, Dennis Teat, and Van Brackin serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Mr. Palmer was born in Houston County, AL on September 3, 1923 to Jesse T. Palmer and Annie Hartzog Palmer. He was a high school and business college graduate and served his country in the United States Air Force. His tours of duty included India and Burma. Mr. Palmer was a bookkeeper and member of Friendship United Methodist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Janice P. Pedler and her husband Bob, Charlotte P. Maxey and her husband Richard and two sons, Riley D. Palmer and his wife Diane and Morris R. Palmer and his wife Teri all of Tallahassee, FL. Mr. Palmer is also survived by nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Palmer was preceded in death by his parents,Jesse T. Palmer and Annie Hartzog Palmer; his wife Lillian Palmer and 9 brothers and sisters.
