RUBY LEE PARKER

November 11, 1926 — March 19, 2015

Ruby Lee Parker, age 88, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Thursday morning, March 19, 2015 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Parker will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Garth Duke-Barton officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Friendship Cemetery with Edward Parker, Ethan Fiveash, Jarred Fiveash, Willard Mims, Greg Mims, and Clint Mims serving as active casketbearers. Mrs. Parker was born in Ozark, AL on November 11, 1926 to Jacob A. Hales and Camilla Jane Mims Hales. She was a homemaker; a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Elaine Tomlinson and her husband Jim and Anne P. Edwards, all of Donalsonville, GA; three grandchildren, Kevin Tedder and his wife Terri of Lubbock, TX, Shawn Edwards and his wife Layne of Donalsonville, GA, and Brandon Edwards and Kristie Eakin of Bainbridge, GA; and eight great grandchildren, Elaney Tedder, Caitlin Tedder, Sutton Smith, Summer Smith, Griffin Parker Edwards, Katie Eakin, Kelsey Bowen, and Carleigh Bowen. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob A. Hales and Camilla Jane Mims Hales; her husband, Hoke Parker; two brothers, Carson Hales and Caszy Hales; five sisters, Alice Darbyshire, Ellanor Johnson, Beautrice Hix, Ruth Faircloth, and Susan Calhoun; a daughter, Gloria Ann Parker; and a son, Hoke Smith Parker, Jr.
