Larry Eugene Alday, age 77, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Tuesday evening, March 10, 2015 at Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, GA. Memorial services for Mr. Alday will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Donalsonville with Rev. Roy Bateman and Rev. Slade Alday officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Alday was born April 3, 1937 in Donalsonville, GA to James Crawford Alday and Era White Alday. He served his country in the United States Army as a Ranger and worked for many years as a welder at Georgia Pacific. He was a past member of the Masons and a member of Donalsonville First Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Alday leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Jean Alday of Donalsonville, GA; two sons, Keith Alday and his wife Brigitte of Milaca, MN and Clay Alday of Donalsonville, GA; two brothers, Melvin Alday and his wife Jackie of Donalsonville, GA and J.C. Alday of Tallahassee, FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Anna Kearans, Kyle Alday, Amber Alday, Ben Alday, and Drew Alday; and his great grandchildren, Realyn Kearans, Caden Kearans, and Kellen Kearans. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Crawford Alday and Era White Alday; two brothers, Benny Alday and Marvette Alday; and a sister, Allie Johnson.
