We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Vinie Ruth McCalvin, age 56, of Donalsonville who passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Oakview Church of God with Rev. Milton Pate officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. McCalvin was born in Seminole County on December 24, 1951 to Mrs. Corine Allen and the late Ray Allen. She was a homemaker and a member of Oakview Church of God and the Prime Timers at Oakview Church of God in Donalsonville, GA She is survived by her husband Joe G. McCalvin of Donalsonville, GA; her mother, Corine Allen of Donalsonville, GA; one son, Joseph Marty McCalvin and his wife Casey of Donalsonville, Ga; two daughters, Tiny Turner and her husband J. W. of Iron City, GA; and Tina Moreno and her husband Jesus of Camilla, GA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Leslie Turner, Jessica Turner, Zackary Turner, Makayla McCalvin, Lisa McCalvin and Chassidy McCalvin. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Allen and a brother Michael Allen. Casketbearers will be Jesse Moreno, Marty McCalvin, James Turner, Ken Stuart, Stan Kennedy and Ivey J. Hill. Honorary Casketbearers will be Employees of Lewis M. Carter and Prime Timers Sunday School Class at Oakview Church of God.
