We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Scott Lee Hooper, age 44, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. A memorial service for Mr. Hooper will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Tim Bell officiating. Mr. Hooper was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Dec. 14, 1961 to Vaughn and Rosemary Morgan Hooper. He had worked with the Donalsonville News as a photographer, salesman, and pressman for over 20 years. Scott was a member of the Georgia Press Association, a Past President of the American Heart Association, the Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year in 1997, and he designed the Seminole County Seal in 1995. Mr. Hooper leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Diane W. Hooper of Donalsonville, GA; his parents, Vaughn and Rosemary Hooper of Donalsonville, GA; a son, Jon A. West of Carrolton, GA; a brother, Todd M. Hooper of Donalsonville, GA ; a brother-in-law, John R. West and his wife Nell of Sherman, Texas; two sister-in-laws, Lynn V. Webster of Montreal, Canada and Susan Herrington and her husband Tim of Swainsboro, GA. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as lots and lots of friends, also survive. They also ask that you consider organ and tissue donation.
