Myrtie Lee Dean Miller, age 84, of Iron City, GA passed away Friday evening, January 2, 2015 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held on Monday morning, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Fred Odom officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA with Jeff Chandler, Edward Miller Jr., Eli Miller, Josh Gross, Josh Cook, and Philip Scott serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, January 4, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Miller was born in Bainbridge, GA on October 18, 1930 to Will Dean and Myrtie Edna Poitivient Dean. She worked as a nurse at the Bainbridge State Hospital until her retirement. She loved her family and was a homemaker also. Mrs. Miller was of the Baptist Faith. She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Peggy Lee Holloway of Jacksonville, FL; three sons, Bobby Gene Holloway and his wife Chloe of Jakin, GA, Benny Miller and his fiancé Jeanine J. Weeks of Iron City, GA, and Larry Miller and his wife Carrie of Iron City, GA; five grandchildren, Tracy Chandler and her husband Jeff, John Holloway and his wife Lynn, Eli Miller and his wife Kara, Crystal Gross and her husband Josh, and Casey Miller Cook and her husband Josh; as well as seven great grandchildren, Gabrianna Miller Mote, Alysia Miller, Gavin Miller, Rylee Miller, Rylan Cook, Turner Gross, and Landyn Cook. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, Will Dean and Myrtie Edna Poitivient Dean; her husband H.E. Miller; her 1st husband, Curtis Eugene Holloway; a brother, James Dean; a son, Timmy Dwayne Miller; and a granddaughter, Pamela LeaMiller.
