EVELETTE MCCORKLE

Catherine Evelette Williams McCorkle, age 87, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday morning, December 29, 2014 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services for Mrs. McCorkle will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM at White Plains Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow. Mrs. McCorkle was born in Columbia, AL on December 8, 1927 to Perry Koonce Williams and Evie Mae Bryan Williams. She was of the Methodist faith and a homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Joyce McCorkle Jones and her husband Robert of Georgetown, GA and Lynda McCorkle Spooner and her husband Mike of Donalsonville, GA; a brother, Jerome Williams and his wife Sheryl of Picayune, MS; her grandchildren, Stacy Sauls and her husband Brian, Michael Spooner and his wife Christy, Brad Spooner and his wife Stephanie, and Ron Spooner; as well as her great grandchildren, Marlow Steed, Braden Sauls, Reiken Spooner, Calix Spooner, Savannah Spooner, Dalton Spooner, Belle Spooner, and Cody Spooner. Mrs. McCorkle was preceded in death by her parents Perry Koonce Williams and Evie Mae Bryan Williams; her husband Clifton McCorkle; two sisters, and three brothers.
