We regret to announce the passing of Carrie Belle Boyd Adams, age 96, of Donalsonville who passed away Monday, January 16, 2006 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Graveside service will be held Friday, January 20, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Olive Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City with Henry Covington officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 19 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonille, GA Mrs. Adams was born in Brooks County, GA on September 9, 1909 to the late Joseph Christopher and Willie Burgess Boyd. She was married to Claude S. Adams who preceded her in death. She attended Olive Grove Primitive Baptist Church and will be remembered by many as being a teacher and the librarian at the Seminole County Public Library. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters Dorothy Ham of Cowarts, AL and Claudette Landwehrmann of Greensboro, NC; two son-in-laws Bill Smith and Charles Burke of Donalsonville, GA. Devoted neighbors The Henry Covington Family. She was also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two daughters Marjorie Burke and Pearl Smith.
