The son of the late Martin Lee Roberts and Connie Beatrice Jenkins, he was born April 1, 1933 in Dothan, Alabama. Mr. Roberts served his country in the United States Navy and following his time in service he became a self-employed maintenance man and farmer. He was also a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church, as well as a past member of the American Legion and Woodmen of the World. A memorial service for Mr. Roberts will be held on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. John Werner officiating. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Maxine Lynn Roberts; his daughter, Stephanie Garner; a step daughter, Donna Stewart; his son, Dempsey Roberts; a step son, Ronnie David Golden; a sister, Margie Price; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sybil Ditty and a brother, Earl Roberts.
