Irene Dozier

We regret to announce the passing of Irene Adams Dozier, age 92, of Iron City who passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. Graveside service will be held Friday, January 13, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Olive Grove/Rock Pond Cemetery in Iron City with Elder Ross Powden and Rev. Luther Hastey officiating. Mrs. Dozier was born in Decatur County, GA on August 7, 1913 to the late Jarriot Sweetzer and Florence Yates Adams. She was a retired school teacher and married to the late Ralph Will Dozier who preceded her in death in 1979. She was a member of Olive Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Iron City, GA. She is survived by a son Wayne Dozier of Iron City, GA and a sister-in-law Carrie Adams of Donalsonville, GA. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home of Donalsonville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
