We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Chastine Frasier Burke, age 83, of Iron City, GA who passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 in Donalsonville, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Burke will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday afternoon, October 16, 2008 at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Boomer officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 4:00 PM. Mrs. Burke was born in Tift County, GA on October 19, 1924 to the late Lawrence Willard and Georgia Pearl Duren Frasier. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her yards. She could often be found working in the fields with her husband, Jack Burke, who preceded her in death in 1986. She was a member of New Life Church International in Tallahassee, FL, where her son, Pastor Travis Burke, is the minister. Mrs. Burke leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Joe Burke and his wife Beverly of Donalsonville, GA and Pastor Travis Burke and his wife Caleta of Tallahassee, FL; two sisters, Pauline West of Tampa, FL and Thamara Smith of Royal Palm Beach, FL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Earl Burke, Jeremy Burke and his wife Maribeth, Anne Marie Burke, Chason Burke and his wife Wendy, Melanie Mclane and her husband Travis, Traa Burke and his wife Lethea, Elisha Dusoe and her husband George, and Jennifer Silver and her husband Chad, as well as,six great grandchildren, Jeb Burke, Brooke Mclane, Brandon Burke, Cameron McLane, Jeremiah Burke, and Alexis Burke. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Willard and Georgia Pearl Duren Frasier; her husband, Jack Sylvester Burke; a son, Thomas Edward Burke; four brothers, Clyde Frasier, L.C. Frasier, Sam Frasier,and Dick Frasier; and one sister, Annie Mae Miller. Casketbearers will be David Spooner, Dennis Spooner, Jack Newberry, Tony Atkinson, Troy Sheffield, and Willie Harrell.
