DOROTHY REESE DUPRIEST

Dorothy Reese Dupriest, age 92, of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday evening, October 19, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus. Funeral services for Mrs. Dupriest will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Fred Odom officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery with Buddy Reese, Sammy Reese, Gary Reese, James Sumner, Joseph Dupriest, and Charles Grimes serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Dupriest was born in Jakin, GA on December 3, 1921 to Tullis Reese and Lorene Bigbie Reese. She was a LPN and worked in the nursing profession until her retirement. She was a member of First Church of God in Columbus, GA. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, John Dupriest of Panama City Beach, FL and David T. Dupriest and his wife Terry of Thomasville, GA; three grandchildren, David Mark Dupriest, Cheryl Renee Sumner, and Joseph Dupriest; as well as six great grandchildren. Mrs. Dupriest was preceded in death by her parents, Tullis Reese and Lorene Bigbie Reese; her husband, Willie Buck Dupriest; and two brothers, Ira Reese and Eddie Lafon Reese.
