WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF MR. ROBERT RANDALL "BUDDY" JOHNSON, AGE 73, OF DONALSONVILLE, GA WHO PASSED AWAY SUNDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 5, 2008 AT THE DONALSONVILLE HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM. FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MR. JOHNSON WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2008 AT 3:00 PM AT SPRING CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH IN DONALSONVILLE, GA WITH REV. KENT BARWICK AND REV. JIMMY DEAN OFFICIATING. INTERMENT WILL FOLLOW IN THE CHURCH CEMETERY. VISITATION WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 6, 2008 FROM 7:00-9:00 PM AT THE CHAPEL OF EVANS-SKIPPER FUNERAL HOME. MR. JOHNSON WAS BORN IN SEMINOLE COUNTY ON JUNE 27, 1935 TO THE LATE ROBERT L. "BOB" AND RUTH LOVETTE JOHNSON. HE WORKED AS A MECHANIC AT GEORGIA PACIFIC FOR 29 YEARS BEFORE HIS RETIREMENT. HE WAS A MEMBER OF SPRING CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH, WHERE HE SERVED ON THE DEACON BOARD, THE CEMETERY COMMITTEE, AND THE BUILDING AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE, AS WELL AS BEING ACTIVE IN THE SPRING CREEK BROTHERHOOD. MR. JOHNSON LEAVES TO CHERISH HIS MEMORY, HIS WIFE CAROLYN ALDAY JOHNSON OF DONALSONVILLE, GA; A SON, TONY JOHNSON AND HIS WIFE MANDY OF DONALSONVILLE, GA;TWO DAUGHTERS, AMY BATCHELOR AND HER HUSBAND TRENT OF DONALSONVILLE, GA AND CHERYL BARWICK AND HER HUSBAND REV. KENT BARWICK OF COLQUITT, GA; AND FOUR SISTERS, BOBBIE JO PERRY, LUCILLE BARBER, AND ADA BLACKBURN, ALL OF DONALSONVILLE, GA AND ONYS SANDERS OF LAKE CITY, FL. HE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY SIX VERY SPECIAL GRANDCHILDREN, AUBREY JOHNSON, MACY BATCHELOR, NICHOLAS BATCHELOR, BRANDON HELMS AND HIS WIFE LEIGHANE, DAVID BARWICK, AND DEANA BARWICK. MR. JOHNSON WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS, ROBERT L. "BOB" AND RUTH LOVETTE JOHNSON; TWO BROTHERS, MILTON JOHNSON AND ROY JOHNSON; AND THREE SISTERS, JUANITA WILKES, RUTH EARNEST, AND ERNESTINE ALDAY. ACTIVE CASKETBEARERS WILL BE BOBBY GLOVER, LARRY BLACKBURN, ROY BARBER, DAVID JOHNSON, JOSEPH E. "TUDDY" ALDAY, AND MIKE PERRY. HONORARY CASKETBEARERS WILL BE THE PAPERMILL RETIREES AND THE SPRING CREEK BROTHERHOOD. FLOWERS WILL BE ACCEPTED OR MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS MAY BE MADE TO THE SPRING CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY FUND.
