AARON GORDON

Aaron Gordon, 73, of Cowarts, AL, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL Funeral services for Mr. Gordon will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 3:00 PM (EST) in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Fred Baucher officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA with Josh Ebarb, Stephen Kuta, Ricky Alday, Dee Gordon, Kendall Gordon, Paul Kirkland, Wesley Williams, Jr., and Chris Gordon serving as casketbearers and honorary casketbearers will be members of the Seminole Masonic Lodge #83. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 2:00 PM (EST) in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Gordon was born December 24, 1940 in Colquitt, GA to the late Dock Gordon and Lucille Jackson Gordon. He served in the United States Navy and retired from Georgia Pacific where he worked as a maintenance supervisor. He was a member of the Seminole Masonic Lodge #83, an officer in the American Legion Post 157, and past committee board member of the Riverview Forest Estate at Lake Eufaula, AL. Mr. Gordon enjoyed fishing, eating, spending time with his grandchildren, watching The Young and the Restless, and spending time on the lake. He was also affectionately referred to as “Big Daddy”. Mr. Gordon is survived by his wife, Linda Williams Gordon of Cowarts, AL; his son, David Gordon and his wife Hazel of Jacksonville, FL; his daughters, Sandra Boyett and her husband Derold of Headland, AL, Kelly Ebarb and her husband Josh of Dothan, AL, Stacy Kuta and her husband Stephen of Dothan, AL; a daughter-in-law, Traci Johnston of Dothan, AL; his brothers, Roy Gordon and his wife Lois of Donalsonville, GA, Ray Gordon of Donalsonville, GA, Buddy Gordon and his wife Marilyn of Iron City, GA, Nathan Gordon and his wife Linda of Blakely, GA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica Gordon of Bainbridge, GA, Kacie Gordon of Bainbridge, GA, Keygan Ebard of Dothan, AL, Jase Ebard of Dothan, AL, and Haley Nicole Mills of Dothan, AL. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dock Gordon and Lucille Jackson Gordon, his sons, Daron Gordon and Gregory Johnston, and a granddaughter Pamela Miller.
