EUGENE THOMAS GIBBONS

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Eugene Thomas Gibbons, age 79, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 29, 2008 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Donalsonvillle, GA with Dr. Ron McCaskill officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church. He had a Ph.D in Chemistry; worked as a lab technician and an anesthesiologist and was also a member of First Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA He is survived by cousins Dot McQuaig of Donalsonville, GA; Carolyn Rentz of Newton, GA; Brenda Godby and her husband Lewis of Donalsonville, GA as well as numerous other cousins. He is also survived by his special caregiver Lori Burke. Casketbearers will be Dr. Jeff Holley, Ken Stuart, Lewis Godby, Amos Sheffield and Jerry Godby. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
