Gerald C. Miller, age 68, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday morning, September 22, 2104 at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Donalsonville with Dr. Ron King and Rev. Michael Wingertsahn officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM at the church. Mr. Miller was born in Donalsonville, GA on March 16, 1946 to John Miller and Florence Pace Miller. He graduated from Seminole County High School in 1964 and went on to graduate from Florida State University in 1968 with a BS in Mathematics. Mr. Miller worked as an insurance adjustor with Cotton States Insurance Company for a number of years before retiring. He was an active member of First Baptist Church Donalsonville, where he served as a Deacon. He enjoyed being involved with coaching Little League baseball during the years that his son was playing Little League ball. Mr. Miller also served several years as a member of the Seminole County Board of Education from 1987-1998. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sharon Jernigan Miller of Donalsonville, GA; a daughter, Angie Wills and her husband Jack of Greenville, SC; a son, John Miller and his wife Amy of Nashville, TN; three brothers, Watson Miller and his wife Walla of Tallahassee, FL, Frank Miller and his wife LaRue of Edison, GA, and Jimmy Miller of Donalsonville, GA; and a sister, Lillian Gallatin of Columbus, GA. Mr. Miller is also survived by two grandchildren, Pace Wills and Shiloh Miller, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, John Miller and Florence Pace Miller and a brother, Raymond Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: CUREPSP 30 E.
