JOEL E. WHITE

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Joel Eugene White, age 65, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Donalsonville Hospital ER. Funeral services for Mr. White will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Rollin Rathel and Rev. Robert Nipper officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, September 22, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. White was born in Covington County, AL on October 19, 1942 to the late Dennis C. and Aileen DeShazo White. Before retiring, Mr. White had worked as a LPN and EMT and served as the EMT Director in Miller County. He was a member of Donalsonville Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. White leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Laura White of Donalsonville, GA; three sons, Joseph White of Carrabelle, FL, Jason White of Sylvester, GA, and Karl White and his wife Tiffany of Sylvester, GA; four brothers, Robert White and James White both of Panama City, FL, David White and his wife Ruth Ann of Warren, Ohio, and Omer White of Warner Robbins, GA; and three sisters, Ann of Texas, Nell Jannings of Iowa, and Joy Powell of Tampa, FL. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jessie, Karl Jr., and Jason all of Sylvester, GA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, D.C. and Aileen DeShazo White; a brother, Johnny White; and a son, Joel Lynn White. Active casketbearers will be Brandon Nipper, Leonard Redman, Terry Batchelor, Anthony Ogg, Scott Raines, and Jimmy Broadway.
