We regret to announce the passing of Mr. William C. Castelow, age 81, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Thursday evening, September 18, 2008 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 3:00 PM at his beloved church Spring Creek Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Jimmy Dean and Rev. Al Murkerson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at Spring Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Castelow was born in Geneva, AL on October 24, 1926 to the late Benjamin Abner and Mary Emma Jacobs Castelow. He was a retired Railroad Agent/Operator. He served his country in the Merchant Marines and was an Air Force Veteran in the Korean War. He was an active member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, Faith Sunday School Class, Men's Prayer Breakfast Group and the church choir. He is survived by his wife of many years, Jean Castelow of Donalsonville, GA; three daughters, Gail Thomas and her husband Wayne of Donalsonville, GA; Rhonda Denby and her husband Emmett of Covington, GA; and Sherrie Trejo of Bainbridge, GA; a sister Betty Arrant of Milton, FL and a brother Charlie Castelow of Tigrid, OR. He is also survived by seven beloved grandchildren, Jason Spurlock and his wife Jessica, Eva Barnett, David Trejo, Jacob Trejo, Naomi Denby and Chance Denby. His first great granddaughter is expected to be born in early October to Jason andJessica Spurlock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Abner and Mary Emma Jacobs Castelow; a precious grandaughter, Laura Jean Spurlock, brothers, Sheldon and Carlton and sisters Lillian and Betty Sue. Casketbearers will be the Men's Prayer Breakfast Group of Spring Creek Baptist Church. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
